So sorry to hear that – hard when a pet gets so sick, they are part of the family and it’s a big blow.

Nooooo! Can he be treated? Sending hugs your way…

I’m so sorry. I guess you have to weigh up the options, thinking of you both.

Oh no! I’m hoping there is a treatment. Give Little Buddy a hug from me today. I’m so sorry.

thanks everyone. There is chemotherapy treatment, but it would not cure, just extend his life a little bit. Given his aversion to pills, needles and any treatment of any form, I don;t think we’re going to do it.

Mel, the important thing is that you have given him a life full of love and comfort. Though losing pets you have bonded with completely is an awful time to go through and my heart hurts just thinking about your situation. My wee beasts are pushing 14 years old and I know I don’t have many more years with them. I make certain I show them the love that they unconditionally share with me. I am certain that buddy know this with you.

Yes, I was going to mail you and say that chemo would be a (good) option provided he wasn’t too stressed or upset by treatment. In my opinion, that’s often much more of a limitation than side effects (usually minimal) from treatment, and we push owners not to treat dogs that hate it.
Still so sorry..

Forgot to say, I think you have made the right choice.
