I Like Pigeons Because Nobody Else Does

I used to have a lot of orchids when we lived in North Carolina. I couldn’t take them with me to Japan so they found a good home with friend, coworker and plant enthusiast, Greg.  Recently I stated collecting them again and have three easy-to-care species, two Phalaenopsis and an Odontocidium that I bought locally. I want to see how these do in our house before I get any more.

I’m off to Longwood Gardens tomorrow on a solo photo expedition in an attempt to get a shot worthy of our Christmas cards this year.  The Christmas display was unveiled last week which brings hordes of visitors. Hopefully the crowds will be minimal on a Monday morning.
