More Longwood Gardens

Believe it or not, this is one plant! It has 721 blooms. This style was developed in Japan and is called okuzuri.

My old camera, the Rebel, might not have been able to handle an intense red like this (it had much less dynamic range, the minimum and maximum amount of information able to be captured), but my new 5D, does a great job:

    That place is incredible! Can we put it on the list of things to do when I get my butt up there to visit?

    You bet!! You will love it. It’s good during all seasons, but I’ve heard their christmas display is spectacular. I can’t imagine anything more impressive than the chrysanthemums though. Kendall and I are going to go sometime within the next month or so. Any idea when you can get up here?
